Palm Oil

Known in Brazil as Dende Oil, it is extracted from the reddish pulp of the fruit of the oil palms. In Brazil is used to flavour and thicken stews, purees, as well as for pan and deep-frying. Available from selected gourmet shops, South American shops and online*.
